15 month update

Today we went for Prestyns 15 month check up he is 27.06 lbs and 32 1/2 in long they say he is in the 80th percentile for his age. he now has all 4 of his molars and now his 2 bottom k-9's this will make 14 in all. I have noticed many changes in Prestyn lately not only has he become more demanding and discovering new things to climb on like the coffee table, but he is finding ways to get me to do what he wants like saying "food" when hes hungry or handing me his sippy and walking to the fridge when he wants a drink amongst a few others. His vocabulary has improved with new words "uh oh"," food", "boo", and "wow". These still remain to be the most used and favorite "yeah", "yay", "bye" he is growing so fast I cant believe the amount of change since last December sometimes i wish he was still my tiny baby and then thankful he's not. He does new things all the time he loves to ignore me for one but lately he has become quite the little butt, for instance today he was in his room watching his favorite show Yo Gabba Gabba and I walked in to tell him we were going bye bye and shut off the TV to then have only ignore me and reach over to turn it back on then turn back around to face me with a big smile on his face and clap saying "yay". I wanted to laugh, but was afraid he would think it was ok to do that he is such a terd if i could only get mad at him or punish him now with out him just giggling or laughing at me and then we will maybe have a day of where me punishing him successful. Its hard to not just laugh at him, but i have noticed his little tantrums getting worse when he does not get his way like throwing himself to the floor or screaming at the to of his lungs. I can not wait till Christmas morning though and see how he reacts to all the presents hopefully he will open them unlike his birthday where he just watched his dad do it for him. We are so blessed to have him in our family he brings such a fun and goofy personality into our lives he is always making Kevin and I laugh in the things he does. I cant imagine not having him here with us!

Playgroup Christmas Party

Today we had our play group Christmas party everyone brought there favorite breakfast dish and then we decorated ice cream cones and Graham cracker houses. Since Prestyn would just crush the house as i was building it we did the tree. As expected he only was interested in stuffing his mouth full of candy. He could care less about anything else going on, thanks to the other kids placing sprinkles in his grip he filled his mouth with that too! Sometimes I am so grateful for Thursday to come around some weeks its my break and sometimes sanity from the daily kayos that my days can become. Its the small things like this that make my weeks better and the excitement as Christmas approaches.

For those of you who can download apps you will have to try "talking tom cat" there is a free version and it is hilarious! Prestyn loves it just watch this video I caught of him the other day it was to funny not to film. Of course he is now in love with phones and walks around the house with it on his ear talking to who ever? The only thing he says though is "yeah" and "bye" its a very deep conversation. lol! I love the pause in between to drink his "soda" I guess this will just have to do since he's not allowed to have any and he is obsessed with the idea of it.

Prestyn and I were going to wait till Kevin got home, but as everything goes in his job nothing is a for sure thing. So since he stayed away 3 days longer than he was suppose too we could not wait any longer. Prestyn helped for all of 5 min. I think it turned out rather cute though.

We went to a pumpkin patch today for the play group that we had in our old ward it was very fun. Unlike the others around here that are crowded at cater to the older kids this one was made for smaller kids and not so crowded. Prestyn though was a bit grumpy and uncooperative hence the fact that he would not look at the camera. Towards the end though he fell into a bail of hay scratching his chin open in a few places and marks all up his face it went even more down hill from there, so we picked our pumpkins and went home for a nap. In between the break downs though we had fun and got a few cute pictures.

Trunk or Treat

We went to Granny's church last night for a trunk or treat and carnival, lets just say I hope Halloween goes a lot better he was extremely tired and the weather started getting bad so we left after an hour Prestyn wanted to leave and we had tornado warnings going off despite the fact it started sprinkling. By the time I made it to Gilmer about 20 min from the house the tornado sirens were going off. Even though they are a precaution I hate hearing them freaks me out every time. So now that we had a trial run I am hoping he can enjoy and catch on to the whole concept of trick or treating a little better by Halloween.

Yamboree

In Gilmer, TX the Yamboree it is a huge ordeal during the last week in October. Aside from the parade and carnival they have a quilt show, barn dance, beauty pageant, live stock show, and antique car show. It's so serious in fact that here in Gilmer they even make it a Holiday for the kids to be out of school for all the festivities. It's a fun 4 day event to get away from the daily routine and have a little family fun. Kevin was not able to attend this year, but it was still fun to go and Prestyn had a blast dancing and clapping to the parade going by.
