These are the photo's we got of Prestyn when he was 15 days old. I love them I think they are so cute and I also think he has some pretty goofy faces in some, but what could you ask of a new born. Only a face a mother would love!! lol I'm totally kidding.

Tummy Time

Prestyn loves his tummy time as long as he has a full belly!!

ZZZZZZ

After days of struggling with a very tired baby who did not want to sleep and when he finally did and I put him down in his bed he would wake up fussy and we started the battle all over again, I have learned the solution. Prestyn is very aware of when it's night time and when it's day he will sleep in his bed at night with no problems, but wants nothing to do with it during the day. He wants to be in the same room with me and is very content with sleeping in his bouncer, swing, couch or in my arms if you try anything else he refuses to nap! what a stubborn baby I wonder where he gets it!!

Daddy's home

Yeah daddy came home last night I love when Kevin is home and as you can see Prestyn does to. It's nice to have him here to help me with Prestyn so I can get things done. I some times get sad though because he does everything I know that's a stupid complaint, but when I try to take him so he can go to sleep before he has to work again in the morning he refuses and takes Prestyn to bed with him. I think it's funny and I can understand since he does not get to see him as often or get to see hold him much. All's I can say is I am happy to have a husband who is willing to stay awake late and wake up early with the baby so I can get more sleep as well as taking over the feedings and diaper changes when he is home. He really is so good with him.

Going for a walk

Prestyn and I went for a walk up the street the other morning since he was refusing to go to sleep and was a little fussy. I was hoping that it would help him fall asleep. Man was I kidding myself this kid loves being outside and he was wide awake during the whole thing as well as for 2 hrs after wards. I see this photo compared to the other ones when he's in his car seat and I cant believe how much he has grown.

How Time flys

I Just realized today that Prestyn is a month old today. I can't believe how the time has flown by It does not even feel like it. I guess the busy filled days of diaper changing and feedings has made me washy. I definitely know no time right now. I was on the phone with Kevin yesterday and he asked me what day it was I had to look at my phone I had no clue what day it was let alone the date. I guess for now that is just how it will be till Prestyn gets a little older and we can have a set schedule so things are not just on the whim like they are now. Prestyn though is doing good he is still smiling and laughing at who knows what, but I can say that for the first time today he smiled and I'm pretty sure it was at me this time I know it sounds stupid, but I actually got a little teary eyed knowing that he is starting to recognize me and is being able to focus on more things. Even though I miss my sleep and the time I had to complete just simple tasks I love every moment I have with this cute little boy.

Swing time

Friday we bought Prestyn a swing though I dont think he hates it, but he also does not know if he loves it. He will stay in it for a little while at least only because I have placed it in front of the window and he can look outside.

Prestyn's cool Mohawk

Today I decided to give Prestyn a cool hairstyle for church. I just love it he's so cute even though he already needs a haircut to trim around his ears and neck line his hair is getting so long. I had to laugh when I was talking to Kevin on the phone this morning I told him that I gave Prestyn a Mohawk and he all's he could say was you cut his hair! He was alright with it after he found out that I didn't cut it into a Mohawk. I'm sure though here soon that I will be giving him some new hair styles.

Update

I thought I would take a moment while Kevin had Prestyn and give everyone a update on how things are going. Other than the fact that I wish Kevin was able to spend more time with us instead of working out of town so much lately we are enjoying our Family time just sitting on the couch together watching TV while winding down before we all go to bed. Prestyn is doing much better after all the blood work and trouble we had with his jaundice. He now actually has a pink tone to his skin and I have just recently noticed that his eyes are starting to turn green. He is growing so fast his NB clothes are still big on him, but I'm sure in no time they will be too small. He sleeps pretty good at night thankfully he has his moments some time where he wakes up after an hour or two but he usually sleeps for three to four hours at a time. He is staying awake a lot more during the day this has been fun and frustrating at times since I want to do things and cant because he's wanting my attention, but he usually for a part of the morning is ok being alone sitting in his bouncer starring out the window looking at the trees and the squirrels. I don't think I could have asked for a better baby! He smiles a lot and laughs too usually in his sleep or while I'm holding him it's not at me so I am so curious to who and what he's laughing at. I wish I could tap into his thoughts. We are all doing really well though and we are loving having this sweet sweet baby in our home.

New Tricks

Being a new mom you learn real quick how to maintain your normal routine while accommodating a new born as well. Here is a list of new tricks as well as new ways I have had to learn with a new born!

One Handed

Things I no longer have time for

Although life as you once knew no longer exist I would never trade it! I love being a new mom and love my adorable son. Although I am leaning new ways to adjust and find little windows of time to complete house hold task as well as errands life is good!

19 days old

Here is a picture I took of Prestyn today he is 19 days old. I cant believe how big he is getting and so fast he is about 7lbs 5oz and 21in long. I am just now being able to put him in his NB clothes even now they are still too big. I'm hoping soon well be over the Jaundice he is for the most part a really good baby and usually pretty content, but when he's mad owe will he let you know.

Welcome Prestyn

Trojan and Tia were very interested in the strange new thing we brought home. To our surprise the one we thought that would have the problem was the one that is the most worried about Prestyn every time he moves or makes a noise Trojan insures everything is ok. Trojan is such a good sergeant daddy.

38 Weeks ultrasound

So as it stands Prestyn has decided to make him self comfortable I am still at 1cm for three weeks straight now! So as it looks Sep 2nd is going to be the big day where we disturb his peace!!! From what the doctor says he is measuring now about

7 1/2 lbs.

38 Weeks

So here I am at 38 weeks and ready to burst I will say that the last three weeks have sucked! Where I had no stretch marks at all I now have them, I actually have cankles and sausage fingers, and I will say that it is increasingly getting harder just to walk, sit, and just plain move. I can not wait till this is all over with.

Thank you Aunt Tina

So can I just say OMG!!! This quilt Aunt Tina made me is amazing. I love it so much and has the perfect colors for Prestyn, I don't even think I want him to use it I would be too afraid it would get ruined. This picture definitely does not do it justice! it's one of those things you cant even fully appreciate unless you are able to see it in person. I just want Aunt Tina to know how much I love it and am grateful for her making it for Prestyn, it really means a lot since I was never able to receive a quilt from grandma before she passed away so I am happy to know that at least one person in the family is helping to keep this craft alive.

Charles Wedding

So I have bought my ticket to come visit for Charles wedding I'm excited and nervous though. I hate traveling anyways and the hassle it is especially at the airports. Now I have to worry about Prestyn and I during this trip and I'm not really sure what to expect. I know I will have fun once I get to AZ, but I am hoping for the best since Prestyn will still be soo small. I will be arriving in AZ on November 7th at around 12pm and be leaving November 17th at 1:30pm. So ahead of time if anyone has plans they would like to do please let me know so I have an idea of how to prepare. Since I am embarking on new territory here and don't know what I should and should not do!!!!

Nursery

Ok so here are a few pictures of the nursery it is slowly coming together it is not yet totally finished, but mom wanted to see it so here it is. The pictures of the trucks are the ones that the guy from Grannies church painted for me. I just decoupaged them onto the boards so that it blended better with everything in the room. I wish they matched a little better to the actual bedding, but I'll take what I can get since the pattern of the bedding has been discontinued and I no longer can purchase anything for it.

Fish Tank

Yeah I am so excited we finally got our fish tank moved to Texas Kev and I have missed it soooo much. Now I just cant wait until it's ready for us to put fish in it only a few more days and it should be good! Now all's we have to find are fish that are not the size of ants like the stupid pet stores insist on selling now. I cant believe the crappy selections that they have!

Fun in the Sun

Brodies safty swim lessons!

I went with Kristy to see Brodie's safety swim lessons while I was in town! Very intense; I expected it to be, but it's difficult watching ur child or nephew in my case being left alone with no help and being told to do something while it's obvious their freaked out and struggling. Brodie as you could see refused to look at the camera he was actually happy in these two he had

not yet been called up for his turn yet. All hell broke loose though when he was. despite the fact that these lessons are not intended to be fun it was very educational to know and Brody did a awesome job! It didn't take long before he was going as fast as he could to get done and out of the pool!

Balloon Glow

Friday night at the Longview airport they had a balloon glow of all the hot air balloon's that they were going to race the next morning. Kevin and I drove up there and parked in the field to watch in the truck It wasn't anything hugely exciting but it was nice outside and nice to get out of the house for a bit. As always I have to sneak pictures of him or else he will block his face. The pictures didn't come out real well it was hard to get a picture, but here is what I was able to get.

32 weeks

So as you all can see I am getting huge and thanks to the pregnancy hormones and the Texas humidity my skin looks horrible and blotchy. Thankfully I have been lucky enough to not have any swelling.

I saw Tarah's post the other day of her 16 week pic and I had to laugh! TARAH YOU DON'T LOOK PREGNANT! I on the other hand I look like the Michelin tire man. I love how worried you are about everything right now but you cant tell. I promise though you'll wish you still looked that good in a neither 16 weeks!

Bad News :(

So most of you have heard by now that I went to the doctors yesterday and I was told I can not come to Arizona. I am still having contractions and the top part of my cervix is starting to open. I was placed on a daily medicine to stop my contractions, but as well was told I am not to do anything to prolong going into labor or my cervix dilating which I would then be placed on bed rest in the hospital. I am so upset because I was wanting to come visit so bad, but I know my priority right know is making sure Prestyn stays put and does not come out till he is ready.

I need to learn to keep my mouth shut this whole pregnancy I have stated that I just want him to hurry up and come because I hate being pregnant. Maybe I should have clarified better on when I wanted it to happen. I guess the lesson for me is be careful for what you ask for sometimes it comes true!!!!

Just Reminding Us Who's In Charge!

Well Friday was an eventful night and Prestyn definitely wanted to remind me who was in charge. I was admitted into the labor and delivery ward with contractions. After being their a while and having only small one they became closer together and very strong. I was given shots to stop them and thankfully they released me after I went a hour with no more contractions. Unfortunately I am on bed rest at least until Thursday when I go see the doctor next. I am really hoping I will not have to stay on. I am no where ready and Kevin has been constantly out of town so I am really on my own to finish things up. I Hope I am still able to make our trip in three weeks to Arizona, so please pray for me!!!

I am feeling as good as I can be at this point I guess I'm ready for it to be over, but I am definitely not ready for him to come yet. This child is so stubborn I wonder where he gets it from?

Wild Life

Kevin and I yesterday were relaxing on the couch watching TV when our female lab (Tia) went nuts over something in the yard. Much to our surprise their was a baby doe! They are all over the place but for it to be walking down our road was weird. I couldn't help but take pictures it didn't even mind that we were that close. This is what I love about Texas the wild life always is giving you new surprises. As long as it's not skunks, armadillos, or possums and then were good!!!!
